Attorney Profiles:

Patricia A. Lynn-Ford, Esq.
Thomas F. Shannon, Esq.
Walter F. Benson, Esq.

William Lynn’s more than 44 years of experience as a trial lawyer has established his reputation as an outstanding advocate in personal injury and wrongful death cases. At various times, his efforts at trial have resulted in vanguard personal injury awards in Central, Northern, and Southern Tier, New York. He has been listed in the 1983 Harvard study, The Best Lawyers in America and was elected a member of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers in 1981. He has been a frequent guest lecturer for the New York State Bar Association, Syracuse University Law School, the Onondaga County Bar Association and the Upstate New York Trial Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in both New York and Florida.

Mr. Lynn began his legal career with a degree from Syracuse University School of Law in 1960. Thereafter, he joined practice with Attorney Paul R. Shanahan, the pre-eminent trial attorney in Syracuse, New York, with whom he practiced law until Mr. Shanahan’s death in 1988. Mr. Lynn has handled virtually every variety of civil and criminal case. He presently has an exclusively plaintiff personal injury practice, and has obtained some of the highest damages verdicts and settlements for various types of cases in courts throughout New York State. Because of his reputation in the field, more than half of the personal injury files are referrals from other attorneys.

Mr. Lynn is uncompromising in his devotion to the preparation and trial of cases for his clients. He has declined to represent insurance companies to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest, in his pursuit of a just result for his clients. His litigation philosophy is to prepare all cases as if each one were to be concluded by a jury verdict. He believes that such thorough preparation is the best means of obtaining the highest form of compensation for the client, by settlement or judgement.
